AMETION exists because the same problem showed up twice — once in uniform, once behind the wheel.
The gate
A young Marine was dropped at the installation gate because the civilian driver could not get on base. The ride was over as far as the driver was concerned. The requirement that put that Marine in the car — get to work, get to an appointment, get home — was not.
That experience stayed with Dale. AMETION starts from a simple belief: the last mile onto and around a military installation is a real transportation requirement, and it should be designed for rather than dropped.
The founder
Dale Dune served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Master Sergeant (E-8). He spent that career responsible for people, standards, and getting things done with what was actually available.
After retiring, he drove on a third-party rideshare platform. As of September 2026, he had completed 1,000+ rides with a 5.0 rating on that platform, according to his reported record. Those rides are where the operator side of this company comes from: opaque percentages, unexplained account decisions, unpaid waiting, and no one to call.

AMETION is being built by someone who lived on both sides of the transaction. That does not guarantee the company succeeds. It does mean the design assumptions come from experience rather than from a market report.
What is deliberately not claimed
AMETION has no relationship with any command, installation, or government agency. It has no base access agreement, no approval, and no endorsement. Any statement on this site about installation access describes a goal that would require authorization we have not yet obtained.
Current status
Validation phase. Pre-incorporation, pre-pilot, pre-revenue. The proposed first service area is Camp Pendleton and the North County corridor.
